Leaps and Bounds

It was just one week ago that I posted a short clip of Baby Nick up on his hands and knees. Yes, I had to help him get up to that position. However, now I don't. Even though he can only hold it for a few seconds, he can get up on his hands and knees by himself. What's more, is he can get up on his hands and toes, as if doing a push-up! Here is the proof.
It's scary to think how fast he could be crawling. What a treat it would be for Grandma Dooley if he started crawling next week while she was here! (I don't think I could be ready by then.) I keep telling myself that I will be ready whenever he becomes more mobile, but I think I'm just fooling myself.

With Joey having taken his time with each new development, watching Baby Nick speed through these milestones is a bit hard to process. I could hardly pose Joey on his hands and knees at seven months old, and here I am trying to handle the possibility of my five month old crawling in the very near future. He is very strong, but he hasn't figured that he can (or that he needs to) move his hands to be able to go anywhere. But once he does.....
