Thanks to my husband, my son now knows that if he "pushes" he can toot! I don't know what I would do without my husband imparting such wisdom into our son. I can only hope that he remembers to teach our younger son the same important life lesson! (Do I sound sarcastic enough?) It really is quite cute to see Nick so impressed with himself.
The other thing he has taught Joey is to "put his dukes up." Joey makes two fists and holds them up to about shoulder level. Then Nick will "punch" Joey either on the cheeks or on the stomache. So how does Joey respond? He punches himself in the tummy! So much for Daddy teaching him to defend himself. Instead, our son will be the one beating up on himself! We have lots of fun in the Luty house.
I was holding both of my precious sons this afternoon when baby Nick woke up from a nap. Joey looks over at him and says, "Smile at Bubba" and wouldn't you know it, Baby Nick lit up like the Fourth of July. It was so sweet to see my sons enjoying each other. I pray it will always be that way! (But I'm not holding my breath.)
