What an awfully busy week this has been for Nick. We figure he put in a 68 hour week. Thankfully, overtime pay was approved for this physical inventory season...so we will see a nice reward for it! Joey, Baby Nick, and I went in to "work" on Saturday morning and spent almost six hours working for Nick. Our payment....a doughnut for breakfast and a piece of pizza for lunch. But can you imagine how much longer Nick would have been at work if I hadn't been able to help him. We were hoping to have a babysitter for the day...but we ended up taking the boys. They did a fantastic job. We brought our gate and set it up to "expand" Daddy's office. That way, I didn't have to restrict them to a 9' X 9' cell, but I could still keep them corralled where I could see them. They didn't complain even once! Thank God for awesome boys.
Nick was hoping for a day off today, but since he is also on call, he did have to go out and do one stop. Now, we just have to prepare to have the boys ready to leave by 5:00am to take him to the airport tomorrow morning. He is on his way back to Fairbanks to train his two new employees. Hopefully his travel will be easier than it was on Friday. He had the same outgoing flight (7am) and was planning on being at the airport by 5am. Unfortunately, his flight was delayed a couple times and he didn't leave until 10am! Since he was so delayed, he had find a later flight coming home so he would have enough time to finish the inventory. He didn't get home until 10pm. So I am praying that his flight will be on time and he won't be getting us all up so early for no reason.
Exciting news...I get to pick up Baby Nick's one year pictures tomorrow! I am looking forward to seeing them, even though he didn't smile. I should be able to send them out in the next couple weeks.
With Nick gone till Thursday, I won't have the laptop to blog for the week. So I will try to remember everything I want to blog and catch up on Thursday....or Friday. Have a great week.
