Singing Christmas Tree Starts Tonight

It's finally here! This is the weekend of our Singing Christmas Tree. I am already exhausted, knowing what my weekend will be like. I think it will go well. It's a great musical, and except for one video clip from The Nativity Story, we will be singing straight through. The program should only be about an hour. But singing it four times in three days is very tiring. We had our dress rehearsal last night, which for the most part went well. I have a few "narrator" lines to read before and after my solo. It shouldn't be too difficult since all the words are displayed on the screens so the audience can join in! As I was leaving last night, one of the ladies stopped me and said, 'Butter! You sing like butter; I love it!" What a fabulous compliment; a nice boost for my confidence. I am going to have to start getting ready soon, as I will be leaving within the hour. But trying to get ready with my two boys is hard enough; it's near impossible with no husband home and an extra toddler running around. I think I will have to bring everything down to our tiny half bath so that I am at least on the same level of the house as they! I snuck a shower in while they took their naps, so at least I'm freshly clean.
Hope you have a great weekend. I may feel like I have more time to think of something other than the Tree once this weekend is over. I may even feel like blogging again!
