Baby Nick finally crawled tonight!!! Ten days from being eight months old, and he crawled. It was hysterical how it happened, though. He was asleep in my arms, and just before I stood up to take him to his bed, he started throwing a mild fit in his sleep. This mild fit quickly turned into a massive fit...quickly dissolving my ability to cope! So I put him down on the floor, and as he threw one of the biggest fits of his life, he started crawling towards one of Joey's toys. Both Nick and I started laughing, restoring my ability to cope. So I picked Baby Nick up and held him for a minute. Then I put him back on the floor to see if he would crawl again. No such luck....he went back to scooting.
But at least I can mark this day, April 2nd 2007 as the day Baby Nick officially began to crawl. When Joey started crawling, he chose to scoot for a couple more weeks until he began to crawl as primary mode of transportation. So it is only a matter of time before Baby Nick chooses to crawl as primary mode of transportation.
Wow...two huge 'firsts' in as many days. Climbing up stairs and crawling. How much growing can one kid do in such a short time?
