I got a call from Nick this morning; as in 4:30am this morning! They had just crossed over into Washington, he was able to use his cell phone again, and even though he didn't want to wake me up, he wanted me to know they were back in the US.
As if he didn't know that I would have wanted to hear from him at any hour. Of course, now I can't go back to sleep. I want to start the laundry, move some things around in preparation of their arrival, take a shower. Unfortunately, all of these things would wake the children, and that is the LAST thing I want to do at this time.
I wanted to talk to Nick longer, but he kept trying to get me off the phone. If you had only talked to your spouse for a grand total of fifteen minutes over the last four days, you'd want to talk, too.
I guess we won't be making it to church. I really want to to go, but the men will be driving up about the time that we would be leaving. The boys will be much too excited to see their Daddy to be too upset about missing church.
Just three and a half more hours, give or take.

I'm so glad they made it that far safely. That is so scary.
