Git Dinner Taco Bell

Joey has certainly blossomed into the man of the house while Daddy is at work. He takes care of Baby Nick and helps Mommy whenever asked. Yesterday he showed the most evidence of this. Joey put on his sunglasses (very cool!) and said "Git dinner." I thought he wanted me to get dinner for him, although it was much too early for dinner, but then he grabbed Baby Nick's keys, walked to the front door and said, "Git dinner Taco Bell." Oh, I get it. He was going to go get dinner for us at Taco Bell! I'm sure Joey was intending to ride his "cycle bike." He puts on Nick's ski mask and thinks he is ready to drive a motorcycle!

I had Nick try something new when putting Joey to bed to see if it would help get him to sleep faster. Now we put Joey to bed with Baby Avery, the Cabbage Patch Kid that Grandma Dooley sent him. Joey is so focused on taking care of Avery right now, feeding and burping him when ever I feed and burp baby Nick. He also put the doll in the swing and turned it on! So I thought that if he had to put Baby Avery to bed, maybe it would help him fall asleep sooner. So far it has worked. He lays right down and is asleep within ten to fifteen minutes! Now if only he would stay asleep in his own bed. Now when he climbs in bed with us, he has Baby Avery with him!

Baby Nick is two months old today! Later we are going to the new doctor for his well child checkup. I am anxious to see how much he has grown and to compare his size to Joey when he was that age. I will blog about it later. Of course I will also have current pictures to go with it and hopefully find a good comparison picture of Joey at that age.

Today, Nick and I have been married for four years! It seems amazing how much we have been able to fit into four years of marriage. We have bought two new cars, bought and sold a house, made a huge move to a new state, and of course had two kids! It's no wonder it feels like more years have passed than four!

I'm off to take Nick to work so I can have the van today. Can't wait to update you on Baby Nick!
