We survived the doctor's office! This was the first time we had met with the new pediatrician and I really liked her. That was a relief.
I certainly had my hands full. I had the baby in his infant carrier, the diaper bag, my purse, Joey, and Joey carried baby Avery in his carrier! We made quite a site walking through the parking lot and cramming in the elevator!
Baby Nick is very healthy and "growing like a champ," as the doctor said. He got 5 vaccines in three shots and he was sooo angry for about 45 seconds, and then calmed down. What I wasn't expecting was for Joey to get a shot as well, but I had skipped getting his Hep A vaccine at his two year check up because it is a two-parter and we were making the move to Alaksa in the middle of the six month spread. So Dr. Bateman said we could do the first part today and the second part when we bring him in for his three year check up next May. Joey did excellent....he didn't make a sound or cry a tear!
So here are the measurements for the boys at two months:
Joey: 23" in height 16 lbs
Nick: 23 1/2" in height 13 lbs 10oz
As we guessed, Baby Nick is taller and thinner than Joey so far. I tried posting the pictures I promised, but for some reason, they wouldn't post. I will try again later. Baby Nick is having a VERY difficult afternoon, so I gotta run!
