It doesn't seem possible that the days go by so quickly and that it is already October! Baby Nick will be two months old in just 10 days!
The weather has been holding out in the upper thirties and lower forties. Far too cold for my taste. The air is definitely crisp. You can see by the picture below that the snow level on the mountains is far lower than it was a week ago. It sure is pretty, I can only imagine how beautiful it will be when the snow covers them entirely. The only bad thing about that is then the snow will be on the ground as well and won't go away for the next six months or so!
This is the view from the main road that we live off of.
This is the front of the tri-plex we live in. Our garage is the one to the far left, obviously.
This is the "alley" we have to walk down to get to our front door. It's hard to see, but our door step is the farthest down. If you enlarge the picture, you can see it better, as our door is past what you can see here.
The essence of depression: we just put Alaska plates on my car. It's silly I know, but the Oregon license plate and my Oregon driver's license are the last things that show I am an Oregonian, and those are being taken away from me. It makes me very sad, but no matter where I live, I will always be an Oregonian. When people ask me where I am from, I will say "I'm from Oregon, currently residing in..." and fill in the blank with whichever state I may be in.Well, I should hurry and get dressed for the day as I hear baby Nick starting to wake up from his nap and he will be hungry. Hopefully Joey will sleep a little longer. He didn't sleep very well last night.
