Fifin Time!

It's Fifin time! We are going to get a Fifin tree on Saturday. Joey can't wait to open his Fifin presents, and sees Fifin decorations everywhere. Whenever he sees decorations, he says, "Look! Fifin!" He is so excited, he's jumping up and down at every mention of Fifin!

(Have you figured it out yet? Can you see how I might have a hard time recognizing he's talking about Christmas?)

I'm sitting here at the computer while Joey is "tickling" Daddy and Joey is laughing harder than Nick is. What's more, Baby Nick is laying on the floor laughing hysterically at the sounds he hears above him. Never had I wished I had a camera that recorded sound more than right now. Listening to my two sons laughing with their Daddy, even when Baby Nick can't see what's going on, is way too cute!

Joey has learned a new skill, walking backwards. He has been practising all day. I have only seen him walk backwards in the kitchen, but he is getting quite good at it. He'll walk into the kitchen and say, "I'm walking back here. (which is supposed to be 'backwards.")

Baby Nick is getting to an age where he is staying awake more during the day and starting to interact more with the things around him. It is so enjoyable to watch. I thought that it would be "old hat" after watching Joey grow up, but it is just as exciting to me. I get just as excited watching Bug reaching for a toy or keeping hold of his rattle as I do watching Joey walk backwards. I love being a mommy. I know that is what God created me to be.
