The Fun of Bubble Wrap

Joey has just discovered bubble wrap. He loves it! Nick brought some home from work so we could pack a couple of boxes to send home and I left the rest of the roll on the table so he could take it back to work, and I come home from running an errand and Joey has taken it down off the table, unrolled it, layed down across it and started popping to his hearts' content! So much for trying to take the excess back to work. Oh well, it is so fun to watch him experience the joy of bubble wrap.

I went to church early this morning because the chior was singing, but the boys stayed home as Bubba didn't go to sleep until after 2am. When I came home, Joey, who hadn't seen me before I left, noticed the nylons I was wearing. This was the first time he had seen me wear nylons. (I can't even remember the last time I wore them.) He got down on his knees and rubbed his hands along the nylons. Then he laughed. I asked him what he thought they were. Joey said, "Big banny." (Which is big bandaid!) I cracked up!

Baby Nick has been sleeping in his crib, in his own room, for the last two nights! Oh joy of joys. Joey slept all night in his big boy bed on Friday night, but we weren't so lucky last night. Hopefully we will start working in the right direction. He's actually asked to sleep in his big boy bed, so that's good.

We will be decorating the house for Christmas this week, and should get our tree next weekend. This is usually my favorite time of year, and although it is my first year away from those I'm closest to, I still want to make the most of it. I love how the house looks with all the Christmas decorations, and how the tree makes the whole house smell wonderful. I can't help but enjoy myself being surrounded Christmas.
