Singing Christmas Tree

We have been rehearsing since the end of September, and finally, tonight we get to perform our Singing Christmas Tree program for the first time. I have never sang in a tree before, and it is really weird, because you can't hear the people around you as well. Sometimes I feel like I am the only alto and then there are times when I can hear the rest of my section fine.

Pastor said that they will put the program online, but because they are getting a new server, it won't be live. They won't be able to put it on the web until Tuesday. But once I find out all the information of where it will be and when it is available, I will let you all know so you can watch if you want.

The tree holds two challenges for me; heights and small spaces. The tree is 35 feet high! Thankfully, I am on the lowest tier, however, even then it is high enough off the ground to be comfortable. Also, there is hardly any width to the tiers, so as I am standing high off the ground, I am trying not to be nervous about being high up and trying not to freak out being in such a tight space. I seemed to do okay during dress rehearsal last night, so I should be fine.

Now I just have to survive the longevity of the weekend. We are singing tonight, Saturday night, and twice on Sunday. I will be at the church on Sunday from 3:00pm until around 9:00pm! It will be fun, but I will also look forward to it being over so I can breath. This will be the most time I spend away from my boys at one time, and I already miss them.
