At least since Sunday night.
While I was packing Nick's suitcase for the week, Joey made a discovery that he was very excited about. He was exploring the zipped pockets in the suitcase and found the stash of bubbles I had packed when we moved from Oregon. Joey loves bubbles! I had completely forgotten about them. Maybe I subconsciously left them in the suitcase.
Since finding them, all Joey has done is blow bubbles and make me blow bubbles. I don't think I have enough air left to blow any more!
When he woke up at 12:30am and wanted to rock, the first thing he said when he came downstairs was, "Blow bubbles?" Even when he is half asleep, he wants to blow bubbles. And when he got up this morning, without even coming over to give me a hug and snuggle, which he usually does, he went straight over to his bubbles.
I have been replaced.
We are surviving while Nick is gone. Bedtime is still the most difficult time because the boys don't seem to want to sleep at the same time. But other than that, we have been doing well. Nick thought he might be coming home Thursday night, because the work is piling up in Anchorage without him here to deliver the equipment (they are still looking for a driver.) But he informed me this morning, that because he has one delivery to make in Fairbanks on Friday, he won't be home on Thursday. But he will probably take an earlier flight on Friday, so he can come back and do the work that is waiting here. It will be nice to have him home. The time seems to slow down when he is gone. It feels like it should be Thursday today, instead of Wednesday. I still have to make it through two more bedtimes without him. We can do it!
